Jason Stevens

Victoria’s Favourite Christmas Performance is back – this year in the Chapel at St. Ann’s Academy.

A perfect story, artfully told.

Join us for a special evening featuring Jason Stevens’ solo performance of Charles Dickens’ “A Christmas Carol.”

For over a decade, Jason has captivated Victoria audiences with his traditional storytelling performance, giving voice to 17 of Dickens’ most memorable characters—including Ebenezer Scrooge, Jacob Marley, Tiny Tim, all three Spirits, Mrs. Cratchit, and Mr. Fezziwig!

This is more than just a show; it’s an opportunity to embrace the spirit of the season with friends and family.

And for the first time ever, you can experience Mr. Scrooge’s tale of redemption on the night it all happened – Christmas Eve.

The chapel will be decorated for the season.

Three Performances Only: December 22, 23, 24 at 6 pm.

“One actor, plus one 19th century (venue) and 17 characters equals one timeless Christmas experience.” – Oak Bay News

“Stevens’ performance is spirited and energetic, and his voice has a rich texture which believably lends personality to the story’s many characters” – Nexus News

After more than 12 years and approximately 200 performances, Jason invites you join him in a new venue – the beautiful Chapel at St. Ann’s Academy. The Chapel was built in 1858 – just 16 years after Dicken’s first began performing live readings of Christmas Carol in 1842. The chapel was the original St. Andrews Cathedral in Victoria, and has a storied history as a convent and a school. Today the chapel is a non-denominational interpretive centre and retains it’s 1920s decor. It is just a short walk to downtown and fully accessible.

There’s no better way to banish your inner Scrooge than an hour spent letting Jason bring all these beloved characters to life with a moving experience that will open your heart, in a historic venue that will be decorated for the holidays.

Doors open at 5:30. Show starts at 6 pm and runs just over one hour with no interval.

Recommended for children ages 10 and up.

Plus! A Special Charity Performance on December 16

For one night only Jason will be performing “A Christmas Carol” at the Odd Fellows Hall to raise funds for The Mustard Seed Food Bank and the Vancouver Island Crisis Line. All proceeds will be donated equally between the two charities. Mr. Dickens would approve!
